Happy New Year!

From Pittsford Village Farm

We are looking forward to 2021 with great excitement as we get closer to making Pittsford Village Farm the community gathering place we have imagined. Our board and volunteers have been hard at work (while social distancing and meeting on Zoom!) keeping up the momentum to take us forward.

Just a few highlights…

Out and About

Pittsford Village Farm was thrilled to participate in fun community events like Trunk or Treat, the Tractor Parade, and the Pittsford Pumpkin Party.

We hosted the Pittsford Village Farm Harvest Gathering, a free event with live music from the talented Kim and Steve Spensley. Maclure Library hosted a "pop up" book sale on site. Donations were collected to support Pittsford's First Response Squad. We were able to host this event with COVID-19 state mandates in place and clearly marked social distancing.

With funding from the Rutland Region Planning Commission, we are presently undergoing an environmental review. We will be seeking bids for any necessary remediation.

Welcome to our new tenant: Carrie Becker, Consulting Director of Development for the World Neurology Foundation. Carrie has been a long time resident of Pittsford and we are happy to have her join us.

Plans are in the works for more events coming soon.

Save the Date July 2 for a special Summer Surprise – Stay tuned!

Building Toward the Future

We are proud to announce that we have completed a Strategic Plan to provide us with a roadmap to the future.

Improvements on the Farmhouse are underway including the addition of stone-filled drainage ditches on the north and south sides of the house to draw water away from the building. This will help preserve the foundations.

More exciting news! Drawings and plans are nearing completion for the Pittsford Village Farm.

New Year, New Hopes…

So much is happening at Pittsford Village Farm and we are looking forward to making our community’s vision come to life: a gathering place at the heart of our community, an agricultural center, a fun-filled event calendar, and a children’s learning center.

We hope that you share our dreams and as you consider your charitable donations, please remember Pittsford Village Farm. With your generosity, we can continue our momentum and look forward to a bright future for our residents and visitors.

Every amount, no matter how small, makes a difference. One immediate need - The preparations to apply for state funding for the restoration of our community center require smaller professional fees – and your support can help!

Thank you in advance for your donation!
